For Melbourne-based artist Rehann, hiking, snorkeling and kayaking are as much a part of the creative process as clicking reference photographs and painting plein air. His practice explores the dynamic and expressive potential of watercolour. He draws inspiration from his time in nature and his love of philosophy and poetry. He uses his art and teaching practice to share a message - to get out of the chair, the studio and to go outside into nature. It works wonders for the art, but also for the artist.
All paintings displayed here were either done outdoors or live demo as part of the teaching practice.
