All workshops follow a structured, immersive format.
Workshops go beyond technique. Each one weaves together three strands of learning:
TECHNIQUE + CRAFT – practical watercolor skills and methods needed to be a confident watercolorist
THEORY + INSIGHT – how and why these methods work together
ART HISTORICAL CONTEXT – the artists, movements and ideas that shaped the visual language of landscape painting that still influence us today
In every workshop, you’ll not only complete a few paintings, you’ll also understand why it works, where it comes from and how it connects to the larger story of art.
Workshops combine demonstration, guided practice and discussion, so you walk away with new skills and a renewed sense of art appreciation and artistic purpose.

Let’s be honest. Watercolour has become too polite.
But watercolour itself was never meant to be polite. It is an inherently dynamic medium. It wants to move, bleed, merge and glow. Watercolour is capable of astonishing vibrancy and luminosity when we allow it to behave according to its nature.
For decades we have repeated the language and style of masters so faithfully that their way of painting has come to dominate the medium. While their achievements remain extraordinary, imitation has slowly replaced exploration. And yet we are no closer to eliminating muddy and washed-out colours in our paintings.
These workshops are not about perfect imitation or realism for its own sake. They are about rediscovering the untamed energy and luminosity of watercolour and learning to paint with courage again.

Form & Feeling in Watercolour
ADVANCED
This workshop is for painters ready to move beyond accurate representation into infusing paintings with a distinct mood. If Bold & Glow is about confidence and luminosity, Form & Feeling is the next step, starting to transform a set of techniques into a personal vision & expression.What You’ll Explore
Form & Mood — Create atmosphere and mood through value design and edge control, use softness and lost-and-found edges to emotional depth to paintings without sacrificing realism.
Color as Emotional Language — Move beyond basic color theory into deliberate temperature shifts and color harmony. We’ll look at how masters like Turner and Monet, along with masters of photography and cinema have used color to intensify feeling and translate those insights into watercolor.
Wet-into-Wet, Refined — Deepen your ability to navigate surface wetness and timing to create a distinct mood. Develop speed without anxiety and efficiency without losing the spirit of experimentation.

This workshop guides participants into the nuances of glow, that magical sense of light emerging from within a painting. Through structured demos and exercises, artists will explore color theory, blending, edge control and the restraint needed to not overwork and let your watercolor shine.
